Hannah was born into a family where storytelling was a way of life, not just a performance on a stage.  Her storytelling debut, as a young girl, was at a neighborhood Halloween party by telling a ghost story.

In her teenage and young adult years, she traveled with her dad, Doc McConnell, as the guitar-playing, "not-registered nurse" on his old medicine show, along with honing her storytelling skills at festivals and gatherings across the eastern USA.

Hannah has incorporated storytelling in her classroom throughout her teaching career and has used object lessons and stories for the "Children's Sermon" at her church during the Sunday morning worship service.

She teaches Kindergarten and lives in Rogersville with her husband, "Rosy"; daughter, Maggie; and tom cat, Oliver.  Her hobbies include being Maggie's personal taxi driver, watching the black/white reruns of the Andy Griffith Show, shopping on eBay, yard sales and 'junque' stores, and sitting on their front porch.

Hannah has a natural knack for storytelling and her father's humor as she tells with the Southern Appalachian flavor she learned from Doc.
